CAMU CAMU

Camu-camu, a species native to the Peruvian Amazon, is a shrub that has a height of 2 to 3 meters, located in the wild and also cultivated mainly in flooded areas on the banks of various rivers and lagoons of the Amazon.
The fruit of the Camu-camu is one of the most promising discoveries that has attracted worldwide attention, as the recorded source of the highest content of vitamin C known.

Its importance lies in the high vitamin C content of the fruit of this shrub, which makes its use highly recommended in the prevention and treatment of influenza-like infections and viral and bacterial diseases affecting the respiratory system. It also acts as a potent antioxidant.

Ascorbic acid has been linked to the alleviation of depression and anxiety.
